We all have a story, and here is a little piece of mine…

Hi, I’m Sami

Connection…

What thoughts come to mind when I mention "connection"? For many, it's a notion that resonates on a profound, almost spiritual level—a bond that's deep and shared. The concept of connection has been a constant companion, ever since my upbringing in Salt Lake City. It's a subject I've pondered deeply, sparking a fascination with connecting not only with others but also with oneself. The journey of self-discovery, self-love, and self-challenge became a compass guiding me.

As a bit of a free spirit, I roamed far and wide, and through my travels, I uncovered the incredible power and personal tranquility that come with genuine connections. We all possess boundless energy and purpose, but at times, it needs a gentle nudge to rise to the surface. That energy becomes the driving force behind magnifying joy, gratitude, and the thrill of discovery, propelling your personal and professional life in any direction you desire.

My career began in nursing, a path that soon led me to explore much more. I now serve as a Clinical Program Manager at Providence for The Women and Children’s Institute. I'm deeply involved in coaching and consulting with emerging leaders across the globe. I facilitate team leadership development. I'm a published author (pinch me, indeed). I proudly wear the badge of a global citizen, and more recently, I've taken on the cherished role of being the parent of a tiny human.

One thing I hold as an unwavering truth is that charting the path less traveled, and following the call of one's heart, leads to profound self-discovery. And that journey, the journey of embracing and discovering your true self, should never truly end.

Do you have goals? Do you have passions? Do you have career plans?

I help you not just dream, but truly know your dreams, visualize them, and seize them, without waiting for tomorrow, next week, or next year. Your time is now, and it's today that your career, your lifestyle, your freedom, much like a fine wine (I absolutely love wine!), should be uncorked and savored.

My Mom, Linda, was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after I was born. She fought fiercely, not only for her own survival but to be there with me every day for thirteen remarkable years. She instilled in me the invaluable lesson that life is fleeting, and every moment should be cherished. And we did just that. We shared laughter, we played, and we connected with everyone we encountered, from the friendly face at the grocery store to the solitary traveler on the road. We exchanged stories, forged connections, and made it our mission to leave every person, every place, and everything better than when we found it.

It's a mission that's etched into my heart, even though my beautiful mom is no longer with us.

I've embarked on journeys far and wide. I've explored, I've written, and I've ventured to the distant corners of the globe, where I've encountered some of my most profound and life-altering moments. I spent time in Lhasa, Tibet, collaborating with clinicians to reduce maternal morbidity. I taught English at a local orphanage. I witnessed the spectrum of human existence, from violence and death to poverty and new life, from pure happiness to deep, unbridled love.

The great outdoors has always been a wellspring of inspiration and tranquility for me. I'm passionate about hiking, biking, immersing myself in nature, savoring good wine, cherishing the company of good people, and, above all, helping you unleash your fullest potential in life.

Coaching was only natural… but what else makes this coaching collaboration so good?

I received my coaching training from the distinguished coaches at The Co-Active Training Institute (CTI). I began with their foundational coach training, progressed to achieve their highly regarded coaching certification, and continued my transformative journey by successfully completing CTI's exceptional leadership program. This dedicated path culminated in my accreditation as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from The International Coaches Federation (ICF). I then went on to study The Dare to Lead methodology by Brene Brown, to deepen my knowledge in being vs. doing. I also got certified in Leadership Circle Profile (LCP) to have a fabulous tool to assist in 360s - helping the leaders I work with zero in on where to focus their growth and development.

Before my journey with CTI, I earned a master’s in business administration from American University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a Minor in Psychology from George Mason University, and a certificate in health informatics and information technology from The University of Texas.

These significant milestones have not only nurtured my unquenchable curiosity but also empowered me to live a life without limits, fully embracing full permission. In tandem, I approach life with a deliberate sense of purpose and do my best to hold myself accountable for my actions. My core principles are rooted in responsibility, continuous growth, unwavering courage, self-acceptance, and the celebration of diversity.

That's the professional snapshot and a glimpse into my life. However, I've only scratched the surface of my journey, leaving out the stories behind my debut book, "Indelible: A Memoir," and the inspirations that led to my collection of 28 tattoos. To unravel these narratives, you can explore the pages of my book or connect with me directly. I'm also thrilled to share that I'm a mom to an incredible daughter and a loving partner to my wonderful husband. While I currently reside in Portland, OR - the excitement of the next adventure is a constant companion, and I eagerly embrace what the future holds.

Life can get delightfully chaotic, and together, we can not only embrace it but thrive in it. Let's seize each moment in its most authentic and vibrant form…

To the fullest.
